About timber

It suits a backyard, a front fence or a rural property.

We build in hardwood and pine. A timber fence can be as plain as a lapped and capped paling fence or as detailed as a feature front fence with gates and trims. Posts and rails carry the load, so we pay as much attention to what goes in the ground as to the face you see.

Timber does need looking after. Sun, rain and termites all take a toll in south east Queensland, so the species, treatment and finish you choose matter for how long it keeps looking good.

How long does a timber fence last?

It depends on the timber, the treatment, the soil and how well it is looked after. We can talk through the options when we see the site.

Can you match my neighbour’s timber fence?

Often we can get close. Send a photo and the approximate height and we will say what is possible.

Do you do gates as well?

Yes, gates can be built in the same timber as the fence. Mention the width and how you want them to open.
