Earth moving
Earth moving is shifting soil from where it is to where it needs to be: levelling a yard, cutting a pad, building up low ground or clearing a site.
Sloping blocks across the Gold Coast hinterland, Mt Tamborine and the Scenic Rim often need soil cut from one side and filled on another to make flat, usable ground.
We can plan the cut and fill so the soil you remove is used where you need it, which cuts the amount that has to leave the site.
Watch it go together.
- Cut the high sideSoil is cut from the higher part of the block.
- Move it acrossThe cut soil is moved to where the ground is low.
- Fill and compactFill is spread in layers and compacted.
- Flat, usable groundOne level area where there was a slope.
Real jobs, real photos.
Cut and fill balance
Soil you cut can be used as fill elsewhere on the site, so plan both together.
Retaining
Cut and fill often leaves a change in level that needs a retaining wall. We can build one.
Drainage
Finished levels should send water away from buildings and neighbours.
What is cut and fill?
