New fencing
A new fence is a boundary, a bit of privacy and a big part of how a property looks from the street.
We build it in the material that suits the block, the budget and the neighbours.
Start with what the fence needs to do: keep pets and kids in, keep privacy, hold livestock, add security, or simply look good. That decides the material far more than the price per metre does.
From there we look at the site: slope, soil, access for the crew, existing fences and trees. Sloping Gold Coast and Scenic Rim blocks in particular change how a fence is stepped or raked, so we like to see the ground before we quote.
Watch it go together.
- Mark out the lineThe fence line and post positions are marked out with you on site.
- Posts in concreteHoles are dug and posts are set in concrete, plumb and in line.
- Rails and frameRails or framing go on so the fence has something solid to hang on.
- Sheets slot inColourbond sheets drop into the rails between each pair of posts.
- Finish and clean upCaps, gates and final checks, then the site is cleaned up.
Real jobs, real photos.
Material
Timber, Colourbond, aluminium, aluminium slats, security and rural fencing each suit different jobs. Our fence pages explain the trade-offs.
Slope and ground
Steep blocks and rock or clay under the surface affect how posts go in and how the fence steps down the slope.
Boundaries and neighbours
In Queensland neighbours generally share the cost of a sufficient dividing fence. Check the boundary and talk to your neighbour first.
How do I choose between timber, Colourbond and aluminium?
Timber is warm and easy to customise, Colourbond is clean and low-fuss, and aluminium suits a lighter, modern look. Our individual fence pages cover each one.
Do you build on sloping blocks?
Yes. We serve hilly areas such as Mt Tamborine, Springbrook and the Scenic Rim, where the fence usually has to step or rake with the ground.
Can you remove the old fence as well?
Tell us about it when you ask for a quote and we will include removal in the job.
