About repairs and maintenance

Most fences can be fixed without being replaced, and we will tell you which side of that line yours sits on.

A fence usually fails in one spot first: a post that has rotted at ground level, a rail that has split, or a panel that took the brunt of a storm. Fixing that spot early costs far less than letting the damage spread along the run.

We repair timber, Colourbond, aluminium and rural fences. Send a few photos of the damage and the whole fence line and we can talk through repair or replace before anyone comes out.

From the job

Real jobs, real photos.

Before you start

Repair or replace

If the posts are sound, panels and rails can usually be swapped. If the posts have rotted through, that section normally needs rebuilding.

Matching what is there

Weathered timber and faded colours will not match new material straight away. We can talk through how to blend a repair in.

The neighbour on the other side

Most boundary fences are shared. Tell us early if the fence sits on a boundary so you can talk to your neighbour before work starts.

Can you repair part of a fence instead of replacing it?

Often, yes. If the posts are sound we can replace damaged panels, palings or rails. If the posts have rotted, that section usually needs rebuilding.

What should I send for a repair quote?

The address, a few close-up photos of the damage and one photo of the whole fence line. A rough length helps too.

Do you repair every type of fence?

We work on timber, Colourbond, aluminium, security and rural fencing. Ask if you are unsure about a particular fence.
